Hello,

According to Chamberlain University College of Nursing (2024) “health information technology has the potential to significantly improve patient safety by enhancing data accuracy, medication management, clinical decision support, and care coordination”, but due to uncoordinated care and incomplete medical records, a patient died.  While watching the assigned video, more than once, I observed a few quality and safety issues.  Pat’s story is tragic, and I fear this type of situation happens too often.  Ineffective communication, which includes active listening, was a huge factor that led to her demise.…..please click the icon below to access NR361 Week 7 Discussion Quality and Safety in Healthcare Informatics at $10
